- Last year, we helped over 7,000 of the poorest and most vulnerable people in Colombia.
The people of Colombia face three main challenges: worsening economic performance, ongoing conflict and climate disorder.
Our work helps people secure their basic rights, such as clean water, health care, and education. We do this by raising awareness of the Colombian legal framework and forging constructive relationships between community groups – such as farmers associations and women’s groups – and relevant government ministries. By doing this we remove the blockages that prevent people from receiving the basic services to which they are entitled. We also provide skills training to enable people to earn a decent living and to grow food for improved nutrition. Our work in Colombia is in partnership with local NGO, Fundación Concern Universal - Colombia.
