Guinea
- Last year, our work reached over 50,000 of the poorest and most vulnerable people in Guinea.
Guinea-Conakry, bordering Sierra Leone, Cote d'Ivoire, and Liberia in West Africa, is often over-looked by the international community. Intermittent electricity, very poor telecommunications, and an unstable, often violent socio-political context make it a difficult place to work.
We focus on agricultural and rural development to reduce poverty and increase people’s incomes. This might mean assisting women's groups in marketing the vegetables and other crops that they grow or well-drilling to provide water for drinking and irrigating crops.
