Nigeria
- Last year, our work helped nearly 62,000 of the poorest and most vulnerable people in Nigeria to improve their lives.
Nigeria is rich in natural resource, but the people are poor. We’re working in the Cross River and Ebonyi States, where poor access to clean water and toilets are major causes of ill-health and infant mortality.
We’re working with communities to rehabilitate boreholes, ensuring they have the knowledge, skills and equipment to maintenance their water sources into the future. We’re also helping people protect and nurture their natural environment, such as by introducing fuel-efficient fish smoking ovens and creating new, sustainable ways of making an income in the mangrove forests.
