Princess Anne heard about how last year we helped over 1.5 million people living poverty
Concern Universal and Haygrove Ltd, a soft fruit growing and farming manufacturing business in Herefordshire welcomed The Princess Royal on Monday 13th February.
The joint visit was selected for the unique relationship between Haygrove and Concern Universal, which has resulted in ‘Gambia is Good’. The ‘Gambia is Good’ project helps farmers in The Gambia sell their produce into hotels and restaurants previously buying imported fruit and vegetables. This scheme allows small scale producers benefit from the growing Tourist trade, generating incomes for families and helping lift people out of poverty
