Schools
Get your school talking about global issues and taking action for a fairer, more just world!
We're passionate about inspiring active global citizenship in schools. So we have worked with teachers to create primary and secondary school resources that cover all aspects of our work: water, health, climate, human rights and more.
We can help you with:
- Lessons, resources and workshops on global themes - many available online here
- Fundraising activities for schools to tie in with your citizenship and PSHE themes
- Inspiring school speakers to talk about a range of global, sustainability, aid and development topics
- Volunteering opportunities for students and teachers, the chance to get involved in making a difference
We’re helping schools to deliver a global dimension to the curriculum, gain International and Eco-school awards and to develop and grow local, national and international links. In the UK we're based in Hereford in the West Midlands, so we can offer schools in the Herefordshire region opportunities to develop closer links with our work in developing countries.
"We had a fantastic day, super organisation and children are feeling excited about how they can make a difference in school." Mrs Carpenter, Burghill CP School
"I enjoyed getting children from different schools work together to share ideas and realise they're not alone." Jane Denny, Herefordshire Council Sustainability Officer.
Teachers, if you’re thinking about how you can deliver the global dimension in your school, we’d love to hear from you. Contact Jo on (01432) 355111 or email jo.davies@concern-universal.org
