Skydiving

Could you jump out of a plane at 12,500ft and free fall to the earth in under a minute?

In return for raising a minimum of £380 in sponsorship, you will be able to make a ‘FREE’ tandem skydive!

You will receive a 30 minute training session, where your fully qualified instructor will guide you through the whole process of a tandem skydive.

Frequently asked questions

When can I jump?

We have organised a few dates throughout the summer but you can jump at any time throughout the year, the centre is open from Friday-Sundays, giving you the time that you need to fundraise and prepare yourself for the thrill of what you are about to undertake.

Dates confirmed for 2012:

Where is it?

Swindon, SN4 0AA

On the day

You need to arrive at the airfield at the time allocated. Please arrive on time as late arrivals may not be able to jump. On arrival at the airfield, report to the Registration Desk and present your medical form. You will then be met by your instructors and commence training. Please be aware that the time of your jump depends on a variety of factors. The centre will endeavour to get you in the air as soon as possible but some delays are inevitable and weather dependant. Be prepared to wait around!

What to Wear

Comfortable tracksuit type clothing is recommended for skydiving, with suitable footwear such as trainers. Slip on shoes or shoes with hooks or high heels must not be worn. Jeans are not recommended.

Restrictions

Pre-existing physical conditions will not necessarily prevent you from taking part but please inform us of any physical condition. If you are in any doubt then please contact us for further information.

You will be required to sign a medical form before your jump declaring your fitness to take part - this will be sent to you upon receipt of your reservation form and should be taken with you on the day.

If you are over 40, it is the British Parachute Association’s requirement that you complete the Declaration of Fitness form and have this signed by your doctor prior to your jump, otherwise you will not be able to complete the skydive.

Insurance

This is included in your temporary membership to the British Parachute Association for up to £2,000,000. This DOES NOT cover you for personal injury and you are strongly advised to arrange special personal cover for yourself from your insurance broker.

Should you wish to take out cover for personal injury then we recommend Sky Cover, more information can be found at www.sky-cover.co.uk or on 0844 892 1515.
